SaiPa vs Lukko
the 2nd post of the day!
yesterday was my free day, so i was not in school. went out with isoäiti to look at souveneirs and things like that. aft that we came home and i waited for Meri and Suvi to call cos we were going to the 'disco' bowling. well, if i were to translate it directly from the Finn 'hohto keilaus' it'll sound silly, but since there is disco music and lights and atmosphere, i'll call it that. so anyways, they came kinda late, Meri said she had car problems. so they picked me up and drove me to the sports hall. we were kinda late, around 5 minutes or so. but i had fun. this time i was the last! *marlz cries* nvm, have to practice more! haha. after that we actually wanted to go for drinks but Meri wanted to go home and study, so they dropped me off at home and went on their way. not before settling that we meet on Friday and then on Sunday again. ahakz. so fun.
before my sappy post i was at school for history. well, there was no one inthe hallway as i thought there would be so i sat and waited and waited all the way till 1.10 pm when Antti and the rest should have come, but no one appeared. so i waited some more. then Laura came in the main door, so i ran to her and asked why there was no one around. well, apparently, half their class had a bio test to do, and i had totally forgotten though Antti had told me, so well i felt kind of sheepish.
suddenly Mitjo appeared out of nowhere. then Salla, then Ville, then Kati. Laura disappeared. i saw the uber cool principal again!! haha, seriously, he's nice. then Salla said the class shld be open and that Antti was in Imatra, so she started up the video conference and Smart Board while the rest of us talked. the others didn't want to join in the lesson until later since they wanted a free period, so they left, leaving Salla and me to struggle with the equiptment. Salla then got angry and called her boyfriend, Pekka and his friend Ville to help, however, they didn't do anything. kinda left Salla alone to her own devices. haha. she was kinda annoyed. "Hä kyl on niin tylsä! Miks hän ei sanonut päivää sinulle ennen kun minä käskin? höh". cute.
finally she decided to call Antti, who did not pick up, but finally responded to the video conference thing. so well, we saw this video abt the Continuation War which was super boring. aft History, i took some pics of the class, was fun. they signed my history book! and after that i had english. i kinda saved them from a lesson, cos Anne wanted me to do this Q&A session with them and talk abt S'pore and of course, ol' PRCS =). they asked me weird questions though, ranging from "Where is Singapore" to " If singapore is such a small country, where do they find spaces for graveyards?". haha, I must forgive the person for that graveyard question. it was, mitjo, who well, kinda saved my butt and kept me from being embarrassed by asking the most questions. thanks mitjo =).
aft that we took class pics and then i left. Emma, Salla and Julia, however, wanted to meet up on Saturday, so they are coming over to tea. aft that i went home.
well, aft my sappy post i was whisked off with isoäiti to the ice hockey game! Leena came at approximately 6 since the game started at 6.30. it was SaiPA vs Lukko
well, ppl at school told me that SaiPA were quite bad, but i didn't mind, i just wanted the experience. so i was pretty surprised when i saw the place CROWDED. there was no place at all to park, and when we did get a place it was one km away from the place. heh. must have been at least 4000 ppl in the hall, and most of them were SaiPA fans. yellow and black, like bumblebees. then there were the small ones, who were so cute in their SaiPA jerseys and things like that. so, we kinda ended up standing. there was rock music, cheering, cheerleaders, hotdog stands, very colourful language, the works. and the surprising thing was? well, SaiPa won 3-2. =) my heroes, for making the game so fun to watch.
ice hockey is really rough, one Lukko player's hockey stick broke into half in the middle of the game. i really pity the referees too, since they had to dodge blows and stuff like that. and one of the Lukko players kept perpetually ending up in the sidelines cos he was hot headed. he's kinda cute acherlie. hehe. i sound like a bimbo. and yes, they did argue in the middle of the game, and yes, they also hit each other and push them into the sides. i found it very exhilirating. and when SaiPa scored, the crowd just ROARED. and i mean ROAR. some of them shouted vulgarities at the Lukko ppl too. *marlz laughs* and whenever a Lukko player ended up in the sidelines, then you'd hear the crowd whistling loudly, as if saying SERVE YOU RIGHT. and the kiddos were so cute, cheering their fave team on. what can i say, one of the best experiences ever, absolutely breathtaking. thank you many many to Leena and Markku for arranging it for me.
so i'm beat, really, i'm gonna get some sleep aft watching Agent 86, Maxwell Smart. ahakz.
so till next time,
tata
